Day 6 - Angle West Bay

Quite excited on this day since we had one more day to go after Angle west bay!

here, we were given a task to draw a fold profile which i found perplexing at first but turned to be okay after observing the features for some time. Rodgery explained to us about the intersection of axial planar cleavage and the bedding of the interlimb of the fold on the cliff. Hence if im not mistaken the axial planar cleavage cuts the interlimb exactly at half hence from the angle of intersection, we can know about the dipping angle of the other interlimb of the fold although it is absent?(maybe eroded or other tectonic processes making it collapse or something?)

quite interesting with sunny weather, we were lucky i guess. Did some 'complex' mapping bits after our lunch and i failed the mapping -.-" my bad actually. We were told to construct three lines and i just took readings for one line only, by the time i realized it, the tides were coming in and we had to submit our work by that time. How unfortunate X) .

We also an assessment on using our compass-clinometer on measuring strike and dip of planes. I decided to do it with Mimi Hill, it was cold hence i wanted to finish it as soon as possible and i did struggle a bit when i was telling Mimi how to find the dipping direction! mann...i just told her the general direction which was North but it was wrong, it was Nort North East to be precise~mann..im not good at practical bits -.-"

Heard explanations from Charlotte and Rodgery after that which i think realated to how we can know about the environment of the location by looking at the palaeontology and sedimentology. The tides were coming in, good thing we managed to climb up without any problem =)
